The museum’s permanent collection has recently been expanded with several objects by René Lalique. To accommodate this expansion, new display cases have been installed by the Doesburg-based company Robaard. In the new cases, the designs of the ‘Da Vinci of jewelry and glass’ are exhibited by color. Several objects are also shown in different colors, something that was previously not possible due to the limited space in the old display cases. Among the glass objects are royal table ornaments, which Lalique designed for then Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard for their wedding. These table ornaments were regularly used during dinners at Soestdijk Palace.
