In 2023, Doesburg, together with the other eight Hanseatic cities in Eastern Netherlands, celebrates the Hanseatic Year. A year dedicated to 800 years of Hanseatic heritage. The Hanseatic Year is an ode to the Hanseatic League; the medieval trade network that brought wealth and a spirit of commerce to the cities and is still clearly visible and tangible today.
